FEATURED COMPOSITIONS

Good Journey

Digital Composition, theme for the Princess & Scoundrel Show

“Good Journey” is a digital composition that was commissioned by the Princess & Scoundrel Show. Featuring a classic Hollywood orchestral style, “Good Journey” is a fast, fun work that matches the excellent content of their show. With a quick motor underneath, sweeping horns pump out an epic melody before the strings take over for smooth announcement of their own. If you are interested in a digital work for your own content, feel free to check out our Digital Commissions page here on TG Sounds.

SYMPHONY NO. 1

“The War of the Worlds”

for Symphony Orchestra

Symphony No. 1 “The War of the Worlds” is a symphonic depiction of Herbert George Wells’ 1898 novel of the same name. Written between November 2015 and June 2017, this fice-movement Symphony is a depiction of that story through the use of contemporary cinematic musical practices. Each of the five movements is titled after a chapter of the book and is divided into three smaller sections. The plot of the novel is followed chronologically throughout the Symphony from the opening setting of Woking all the way through the Epilogue.

The premiere took place on June 24, 2017 by the FEA Symphony under the direction of Nate White.

FANFARE FOR A NEW BEGINNING

for Brass Ensemble and Percussion

"Fanfare for a New Beginning" won the 2010 Dallas Wind Symphony Fanfare Competition. The premiere was held on November 16, 2010 and was performed by the University of Texas - Arlington Wind Ensemble.

CINEMATIC OVERTURE

for Orchestra

Cinematic Overture is a six and a half minute piece inspired by the works of the greatest film composers of our time. The melodies and harmonies written herein take the listener on a journey created within their own mind, as, although this is a "cinematic" work, there is no film to accompany the music. The audience is free to create his or her own personal movie as the score progresses; the only limitation is that of the individual's imagination.

This recording is of the live premiere by the FEA Symphony under Nate White on July 21, 2012 in Piscataway, NJ.
