Images of Vétheuil: Rhapsody for Flute, Clarinet, and Piano was inspired by a trip to Chicago's Art Institute in the Summer of 2013. On display were a pair of works by Monet of Vétheuil, a village just outside of Paris, France. The works protrayed the same landscape - one in the daytime and the other in the evening. This Rhapsody is in four continuous movements that depict scenes from the images.
